Blackburn Cathedral Ten Bell Practice
Sat. 10 Jun, 2023 10:45 am - 12:15 pm
The next ten bell practice at Blackburn Cathedral will be held on Saturday, 10 June 2023 from 10:45 to 12:15.
These practices are arranged quarterly on the second Saturday of the month with the aim of providing a chance to ring on ten bells. I try and cover all levels of ability, so ringing will include rounds, call changes, plain hunt and anything up to and including Surprise Royal.
Please feel free to forward the invitation to anyone you think would be interested in coming along.
Parking in Blackburn
There are a few parking places available in Cathedral Court, on an "if available" basis. Access is from Dandy Walk. Head south down Darwen Street and turn left immediately before the Postal Order (J D Wetherspoons) just after you pass the cathedral entrance. Access to Cathedral Court is via the iron gates on the left. However, Cathedral Court gets busy, I cannot reserve spaces. If Cathedral Court is full or the gates are closed, you will need to use one of the town centre car parks (see below).
There are many car parks in Blackburn town centre. Those closest to the cathedral include Weir Street, Mill Lane, Fleming Square, The Mall, Fielden Street multi-storey and Morrisons. There is also a privately-owned car park next to Fleming Square. Please use the following website as a guide to the available car parks. All town centre parking is charable.
