Programme of Events
1. Date: Saturday 6th June Time: Arrival from 7:00pm, Dinner 7:30pm
Venue: Marriott Hotel, Broughton, Preston PR3 5JB
Members and partners are warmly invited to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the
Association at a formal dinner.
The evening will include a 3-course dinner, speeches and the opportunity to celebrate 150
years of ringing fellowship across Lancashire.
Please select your menu option when booking (either standard or vegetarian/vegan).
We look forward to celebrating this important anniversary together. Please complete name of
all guests to enable a seating plan to be completed.
Menu:
a) Starter: Shaved Chicken Salad, grapes, chives, creme fraiche
Main: Roast Fillet of Pork, air-dried ham, roast leeks, apple and sage compote with
dauphinoise potatoes
Sweet: Lemon Brulee tart with berry compote.
Tea, Coffee and Mints
For Vegetarians/Vegan:
b) Starter: Roast tomato and Basil Soup with Thyme Croutons
Main: Mushroom, Artichoke and Sage Risotto

2. Date: 10 th June 2026 Venue: St Laurence Church Chorley
LACR Officers peal attempt.
Please encourage peals, quarter peals and other performances dedicated to the celebration
of the 150 th Anniversary, during this week and for the remainder of 2026.
3. Date: Saturday 13 th June Venue: Celebration Service to be held at St Laurence Chorley
There are three tower routes planned depending on where members are travelling from.
Routes from the North: Churchtown, Bilsborrow and Broughton towers will be available
Routes from the East: Horwich, Blackrod and Adlington
Routes from the South: Rainford, Parbold and Standish.
Open ringing at St Laurence 2:00 – 3:30pm.
Open ringing at St Mary’s Chorley - 2.00 - 3.30pm.
Pre-service ringing at 3:30pm for 4pm service.

Tea will be available at St Mary’s Centre, Mount Pleasant Chorley, PR7 2SR following the service at
St Laurence Chorley.
Parking in Chorley is free after 1pm
4. Quiz Event
Date: 14 th June 2026 Venue: Bamber Bridge & County Catholic Club, Aspden Street,Bamber Bridge.PR5 6TL Time - Meet at 6.30 for a 7.00pm start.
Teams - Ideally four but any number welcome.
Cost - £13 per person
Supper Choices -
a) Chicken or Tuna Pasta Bake served with Garlic Bread.
b) Vegetable or Beef Lasagne served with Garlic Bread
c) Chilli and Rice served with French Bread
d) Vegetable or Chicken Curry and Rice served with Nan Bread
e) Choice of two desserts (not required to be pre-ordered).
f) Special dietary requirements catered for if required.

Merchandise:
Various items of merchandise with the 150 th LACR Logo attached (polo shirts, tee shirts, mugs and
other similar goods) are being produced. It is hoped samples will be available at the AGM.

Tickets for the formal dinner on 6 th June are available and are £50 each. Multiple tickets can be
bought on your members log-in and these can be found on the “store” tab. For those members who

Tickets are also available via your member log-in for pre-payment of a donation for each tower to be
visited on 13th June 2026 prior to the Anniversary Service at St Laurence Chorley. Participating
towers will each get a share of the total donations received. Suggested donations are £2.00 per tower
or £8 for 5 towers.
Tickets for tea after the service on 13 th June are available at a cost of £10. Multiple tickets can be
